Welcome to our Community Project

There is a shortage of community space in Crookham and Fleet. Currently there is a small hall for use however several bookings have to be turned away due to the lack of facilities and availability.

Within the church the two Sunday school groups and the crèche all meet within the same hall, which is noisy and disruptive to all. There could well be a call in the future for extended hour’s provision by our very effective and highly regarded playgroup. Chat Café currently meets in the church, which is often colder than being outside during the winter months! All this plus there is a general lack of storage space for tables, chairs and other equipment.

To be able to make the facilities available for use by the community and the church there will need to be additional space for meeting and activities, a refurbished kitchen, greater disabled access and an up to date parish office. There are some upgrades and additional features required.

The new building will include:

> Large meeting room, able to seat up to 30 conference style
> Small meeting room, with access to the kitchen
> Disabled access to the whole building
> Disabled access toilet
> Improved toilets for adults
> Children's toilets
> Refurbished kitchen
> Larger storage facilities
> Parish office
> The new building will also free up the vestry for use as another small meeting room.

 How?

To enable these facilities to be available a total of £500,000 needs to be raised. This will be raised through community events, donations, grants and sponsorship of individuals.

The official launch of the fundraising project was Sunday, 26th April 2009.

Jesus said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”
